Phase 2 in Veneto Region
With Regional Ordinance No 48 of 17 May 2020, the Veneto Region confirmed the specific measures to combat and contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic virus in the region.
The Ordinance is adopted following Legislative Decree no. 19 of 25 March 2020, which, among other things, provides for the possibility for the regions, in the event of a resurgence of the epidemic, to introduce, exclusively within their powers, further restrictive measures compared to national ones, without affecting the performance of production activities and those of a strategic nature at a national level.
The Ordinance shows the intention of the Veneto Region to pay the utmost attention to the containment of the contagion but to start most of the economic and productive activities.
Commercial, craft, and service activities, as well as outdoor activities, can be carried out in compliance with the guidelines approved by the Conference of Presidents of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces on 16 May 2020 and the guidelines set out in Annexes 1 and 2 of the Ordinance.
Among the economic activities that are expected to be reopened are:
- catering activities
- bathing establishments
- personal services
- retail trade (including on public areas)
- driving schools
- green maintenance.
Among the outdoor activities, in Veneto you can reopen alpine huts, campsites, outdoor swimming pools, cableways. Museums, archives, and libraries can also be reactivated.
The provisions of the ordinance are valid from 18th May to 2nd June 2020.
