In the last 10 years, she worked at international law firms such as Baker McKenzie and DLA Piper where she led the tax department. She is highly recommended as one of the most reputable international tax experts within the Italian and international markets in the main legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500. “Maricla combines the experience of supporting clients on tax cross-border needs with a strong understanding of business and economic environments,” Paolo Mondia and Andrea De Vecchi, Co-Managing Partners of the European Region, said. “By implementing tax strategies and knowing local jurisdictions across Europe, Maricla will lead our European team of experienced professionals.”

Giovanni Gallucci provides assistance in favor of several Italian and foreign multinational groups on local tax compliance and international taxation matters, including risk-assessment procedures such as Tax Control Framework. He has wide experience in digital economy, M&A transactions, tax due diligence, tax implications of extraordinary transactions and business reorganization of multinational groups.

Andrea De Vecchi remarked, “With the addition of Maricla and Giovanni, we are giving impetus to the international tax area. Maricla is a great asset for us. Continuing to expand cross border capabilities in this area is important to the entire firm. Moreover, over the last decade, she has been member of Business Industry Advisory Board (BIAC), an advisory body to the OECD, and she is Chairman of American Chamber of Commerce Tax Committee.”
